Wasblind- it sounds like a trick question !!!!!!! Was that song #1? ( if so - I liked that one, too. Well, there's no accounting for taste- it's subjective)

Why Not To Forsake Your Christian Heritage
by Dogpatch inwhy not to forsake your christian heritage.
there is a large percentage of former jehovahs witnesses who came from evangelical or pentecostal backgrounds, before joining the witnesses.
for those who consider that a bad experience, i always suggest ending its control over your life, and take a vacation from religion.

"take a vacation from religion. If God wants you, he will always be there for you. I have taken many such vacations in my life… knowing that I can speak to Him at any moment"
---Randy, thank you. I have personally felt like I'm on a vacation from God, but I'm not. It's a vacation from religion and maybe a permanent one. Time will tell. For me, it's a matter of decompression after the shock of belonging to a cult. I spent weeks searching through other Bible interpretations to help me get a solid footing. But, I am certainly not ready to jump into anything without first assessing how I got here to begin with.
"I am not sure why some Christians have the tendency to “categorize” each other as to the mental philosophies in their heads or petty differences in lifestyle.. What happened to liking people and honoring them for what they have done, and more importantly, what they have done for you and other around you?"
So yes, I eventually had to make certain judgments about people as I got to know them:
(a) ignore much of what they say about themselves, and figure it out yourself objectively,
(b) Give them the opportunity of a doubt.
I like your philosophy.

Can You See GB Saying This: 'Maybe We Were Wrong'
by Joe Grundy ini just saw this news story.. i never was a jw (or a catholic) but i liked this story:.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19451439.
can you imagine a gb member ever saying in effect - 'we were wrong'?.

Yes, Humility. And No. NEVER gonna happen. After the collapse, what would they do? and where would they go? It is not a religious org. It is a business. It is a machine. It is their bread and butter. They are rulers of their own planet. And they control all of their citizens. Why change it?

Transfusing blood is eating blood?
by Marvin Shilmer intransfusing blood is eating blood?.
today i added a new article to my blog.
it is the first in a planned series addressing the idiocy of watchtowers teaching that transfusing blood is eating blood.

Ksol-"Granted, there's no doubt God gave His explicit permission to eat animals in Genesis 9 (with the condition that they be properly bled first), but there was no prohibition against the practice BEFORE the Flood. Theologians (and lawyers) will tell you that any action NOT explicitly prohibited is not a violation of God's will, AKA a sin, but a conscience matter, at best."
^Opinion not fact. v To quote you, Sol: "Says, who?"
When the instruction was given by God to A&E, they were perfect. They hadn't sinned. Why then, would they have to be given instruction on what they COULD eat? v
Gen 1:29 states: "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." (NIV)
*This explicitly pertains to what theycould eat. "They will be yours for food." That seems unambiguous.. A&E were also instructed what they could not eat at Gen 2:16 & 17.
----
*You have not convinced me that your argument doesn't lean to the side of a legalistic guessing game.
----
Edit- *Again Bold where I did not Bold
